My name is Abriana Gresham and I am an experimental health psychologist studying intimate partner violence (IPV). I received a B.A. in Biology and a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2018. I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Experimental Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology at Ohio University, working with Dr. Brett Peters. In the summer of 2024, I will be joining Dr. Nicholas Thomson and the Injury and Violence Prevenion Program at Virginia Commonwealth University as a Postdoctoral Fellow. My program of research focuses on understanding the causes and consequences of IPV. I draw from theories that center stress and affective processes in intimate relationships and evaluate how these factors shape and are shaped by relationship power, dominance, violence, and health.
